LTC - IQAN Design 4

Are any new features planned for the LTC channel type ? Search functions, multiple outputs etc. This would help with applications requiring more database style function requirements.

There will be an additional channel type, called Array, in IQANdesign 4. It can be viewed as a memorizing channel with multiple values. You will be able to do specific array operations with it, e.g. find max or min, average, etc. You will also be able to use multiple values as output each system cycle.

Thank you Ulrik. Will I able to search?
In other words I want to nominate an ID column. I then want to find the cell that matches the value of say a TPC. I then want to use all the values in that row as multiple outputs.

One more thing. Will data to populate the array be imported in the same way as LTC ?

Hi Nick,

No, in the LTC you input a fixed data set from e.g. an excel file. In the IQANdesign 4 array, you modify the content using application logic. It is more like you had a bunch of MEM channels that you can access and modify from one point.
