Power saving/Idle mode for modules

Fredrik Forsberg 7 years ago updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 4 years ago 1

Hello,

It would be nice to be able to set some kind of power saving/idle mode for a module.

Meaning it could be in power saving mode with a very low cycle time and inactivated I/O's, waiting for a trigger event.

In our application this could be used as for e.g. a diesel heater timer. Then we could integrate the diesel heater to the iqan display.

Regarding the trend for complete battery powered vehicles the Option for power saving mode should be considered for all IQAN-modules as a future development Feature. Competition products are already equipped with such modes. Also when it saves only 300mA to 400mA it is a sales feature for future.
