DM1 list for different types of pins
Is there a list for possible DM1 error messages for the different types of pins.
For example, I don't think a VIN pin can have the message "Checksum error".

In the description of each channel, there is a list of statuses the channel can have.
If the channel can have a status that is on the DM1OUT list, the DM1OUT can generate a DTC with the FMI for that status.
Checksum error as status on a VIN is actually possible, in theory. But extremely unlikely. It will happen if it is adjustable and its settings are corrupted.
