I have an application, where every now and then the display of the MD3 becomes all black.
I have to turn it off and back on to restore the display.
Screen saver is not active

In IQANdesign 4 and 5, there is a "Display Control Channel" for controlling backlight on the MD3 via the application.
If you suspect it is an issue with the application software, you can check if this channel is being used.
Hi Gustav I not have used "Display Control Channel" in the application.
Is it possible too hot?
If you suspect the module temperature is too high, you could connect with IQANrun and check the temperature that way. You could also check the log for temperature high alarm.
The MD3 does have a protective function that switch of the LCD if it is about to overheat, but the threshold for this is quite high, 75°C internal temperature.
