DOUT OVERLOAD DETECTION ON XC43-M24 ON INITIAL START UP OF MC43
Customer has XC43 via the main power disconnect. This also supplies two LS DOUTS. One of the DOUTS is expected to be on immediately on start up of MC43 (key on)and lights an LED. This is the only output that faults and only on the M24 version. MC43 is off until key is on. XC43-M24 presents with an overload on this DOUT when the master module is first turned on. Non M24 do not have this overload condition. Many machines in the field working with non M24. XC module has constant power until the disconnect is turned off. The unit is not started so we do not have a power draw. Key is cycled (Master power cycled while XC still has constant power) and the overload condition goes away. 100% 0f the time non M24 modules do not have an overload fault. 100% of the time M24 modules fault when master power is first turned on. Key can be cycled continuously after this initial power up and the M24 module will not fault out again until the main disconnect is cycled (power to XC cycled). Then the M24 version faults again when MC is first powered up. What is the difference between first power up and subsequent power ups of the Master module? The install guide states that the XC module may be started at the same time but not after. In this case it is powered well prior. i have talked with an RAE but he has not see this issue. Posting here hoping for some insight.
