Powering down modules in runtime

I have to modify my system and add 2 expansion (or masters if necessary) to meet safety standards. Only 1 module can be powered at a time. Is there a way to do so without having errors every time one is powered down?

In the application for the master module, you could disable the expansion module to avoid seeing the No contact error when it is not connected. 

In a multi-master system, the approach is slightly different. Here you can set some of the master modules as optional to avoid seeing No contact on the other masters when it is missing. Every master module except for the "headmaster" address 0 could be set as optional. This property is fixed in the project.
