Molex Connector part numbers
Molex has indicated that the MX123 connector series are scheduled for end of life. These connectors are used on all of the MC4 and XC4 series modules. Does Parker have any information on potential future compatible replacement parts?
Answer
The supplier have decided to change part numbers on all of their harness connectors used in the MX123 connector family due to an improvement in Wire Dress Cover retention. The replacements have no change in form, fit or function.
This will affect following parts that we recommend using for IQAN-_C4_ family and also the IQAN-MD5 family:

We will update our documentation to reflect this change.

FYI, the old cover is not compatible with the new connector and there is a significant shortage of all parts. Quite a mess...
Thanks for the heads up about the cover. I didn't think they would do something like that (they couldn't make the old cover work?). I am also in a bind trying to get a few connectors (old or new).
I have found that the old cover will actually work with the new connectors. It does not fit perfectly, but the cam will close and lock. I was able to order some of the 34822-0013 from China off of Alibaba.com. Shipping time is about three weeks, but several vendors claim to have them. I have not received yet. I purchased from:

Thanks J.C. I've got an RFQ into Worldway Electronics to see if I can get some there. There are some on eBay as well, but most of them are probably knock-offs.
It really is a mess... no matter where you look, there is a significant shortage. I had already invested heavily a year ago, but Molex is taking its sweet time...
Is anyone aware of any potential supply chain that can deliver these? All MC4x connector part numbers (new and old) are out of stock and we are now getting desperate. There seems to be no other similar parts with the same key or pin layouts that we can use as a substitute. Our delivery dates are getting pushed back every few weeks, current delivery estimates are January 2027.
I have found that several suppliers in China have them. You can do a RFQ in Alibaba.com. Make sure they have them in stock and commit to a delivery date. Shipping time is about three weeks. I purchased from:
