MC43 Stopped, critical error

Ali 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 3 years ago 2

Hi,

We are using an MD4-7 / MC43 setup for our project and it crashes randomly. Oddly enough, the crashes only occurs for certain versions of our code which barely differs in terms of logic and processing power.

The following color is displayed by the MC43:
4x red, 1x yellow, 3x yellow, 4x yellow, 1x yellow, 2x yellow, and repeat.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Best regards,

It is very hard to say from just this blink code.

For a case like this, I really recommend reaching out to your local Parker tech support, as troubleshooting will probably involve discussing details about your application that is can be too detailed to share on a public forum.

(I know you have in this case)

But to give forum readers some general points on information that is good to have:

-IQANdesign version

-Cycle utilization and cycle time.

-CAN bus utilization

Not reproducible

This one was discussed in other channels. The problem is not easily reproducible but found out it was related to sending on a busy CAN bus. Worth noting here is that there was another post here with the same symptom:
