Gear Speed sensor calibration

For the calibration of a Gear speed sensor P/N:01712ECD, the gear that I'm using has 50 teeth, so I'm doing that calculation based on speed sensor output 10 kHz then 10000/50=200 rpm as my maximum rpm. Is that what I have to do in my calculations?

No... 

10000 teeth/sec / 50 teeth/revolution = 200 rev/sec

200 rev/sec = 200 rev/sec * 60 sec/min = 12000 rev/min
