Error in saving measure file into excel

Frank GUO 9 years ago in IQANrun updated by Angus Brown 9 years ago 5
Hi,

When I save the measure file into excel, it shows 'excel found unreadable content'. After recovering the contents by excel, all the channel names are disappeared.

Here is what shows in excel repair:
Removed Part: /xl/sharedStrings.xml part with XML error. (Strings) Illegal xml character. Line 65, column 19.Removed Records: Cell information from /xl/worksheets/sheet1.xml part

I am using IQANrun 3.17.4.3590.

Regards,
Frank

Hi Frank,

It sounds as if it might be a new bug related to export to excel introduced in 3.17.
But I am not able to reproduce the issue you are seeing when saving IQANrun measurements as .xlsx.
To be able to see the issue, could you save your measurement as .irm3 and send us that file? If we can reproduce the issue, we should be able to fix it.

Hi Gustav,

Which email should I send the file to?

Regards,
Frank
Hi Frank,

You can send it to support@iqan.userecho.com.

Thanks,
Ulrik

Caused by invalid characters (for Excel) in channel name or unit, e.g. characters with ASCII code below 32. Will try to fix in 3.18.
Fixed
IQANrun 3.18 will remove characters that are not valid in Excel sheets when exporting a measure to Excel. Release planned for June 25.
