Clear log at System down

Hello,

is it possible to detect if a system is going to be switched off? To, for example, clear a log just before the system is switched off?

Or else, maybe at startup? But then it must be the first thing the system does.

No, not unless you use some other module to control the power supply to the IQAN modules. 

Startup is easier to detect. For a function that needs to see a change of value to react, an IDC with a delay on of one cycle gives you a change of value in the second application cycle.
