Is there a way to vary the transmit rate of a JFOUT channel that is in an External Function Group?

I can vary the transmit rate of the JFOUT channel with an integer parameter in an initialization group but I am not sure how to do this when the JFOUT channel is in an external function group. I do not see a way to use a constant channel in an external function group and have it point to the transmit rate. Any suggestions?

There is currently no functionality that makes it possible to have channels from initialization group linked to an external function. There is a feature request here:
