Possibility to change value by pressing the button

What is the best way to change value of channel by pressing two buttons? For example change backlight value by pressing "+" and "-" buttons..

I do it like this, the speed is the time it takes to from 0 to 100%

Thank you! I remembered about "static" and it helped me but it's a bit weird that we can't use another channel as static value. I mean not constanta channel but simple channel with real value..
