IQANdesign 7 not able to program using Bluetooth

Adam B 12 months ago in IQANdesign updated by Kerry Brock 2 months ago 4 1 duplicate

Hello, I just updated from Version 6 to Version 7 and cannot send or receive programs through Bluetooth.

Setup:

Modules: MC43 / G12.

IQAN Design Version: 7.00.45

Issue:

Using IQAN Design through Bluetooth, I can connect to the G12 and see the diagnostics when selecting start measure.  But it will freeze when selecting stop measure.

After attempting to select Send or Received, IQAN Design goes to "not responding" and freezes.

It does the same when trying to update the "Set Date and Time" only through IQAN design.

We have 2 other team members with the same issues.

I have no issues using Version 6.

Thank you for reporting.

We have found the bug and are looking at when we can have a fix released.

In the meantime, a workaround is to use IQANrun 6.08 to send the .idax.

Just ran into the same issue using a MD4-7 (address 0) and MC43 (address 1).

I could consistently load the project file in the MD4-7, but when it got to the MC43, it would get about 30% of the way through and timeout/quit.  This was using IQANdesign 7.00.

I updated the file from 7.00 to 7.02 and used IQANrun 7.02 (remotely) and the first time I tried I was able to load the MD4-7 (took about 15 minutes) and then it loaded about 75% and got a "lost connection" message.

We then tried using just the IQANgo app (locally) a couple times to load the file from the smart phone and it would hang up around 59% on the MC43.

I then tried IQANrun 7.02 remotely again and was able to load the file successfully.

Seems that if you get into this situation, use IQANrun to load the file.

(IQANdesign and directly from the IQANgo app does not appear to work.)

I did not try any other version of IQANrun, so I don't know if it would work with say IQANrun 7.00.

Hopefully this information will help someone if they run into the same issue.
