Cannot pull a clone
I have field service trying to get a clone off a multi master system with a MD4-7 and MC43. Both are powered up and they are connected on the programming port on the MD4 using an ethernet connection. It eventually stops and displays the following error message. What would cause this? Is there a way to fix it?

We are investigating a problem with how IQANrun includes the firmware in the clone.
What you can try to ask him to first open a .idax or .ircx file that contains an MC4 with this version, 6.08.24.
Opening a file in IQANrun will add the firmwares it contains to the IQANrun firmware cache.
After that it should be possible to get the clone.
Gustav,
To build on your method of adding the Firmware cache by opening a project of that version, is it possible to copy and paste the files directly from the firmware cache folder from one PC to another?
if it was possible, would the .ifw file be all that is needed or would the .ifr files that were crated at the same time stamp be required also?
Yes, manually copying these files to the firmware cache folder is also a viable workaround.
Given that the error message is about the MC4X, it should be enough to copy the vmAC_MC4X firmware file.
It is still not clear to me why IQANrun fail to get the firmware from the module.
That worked for us. Thanks for the help.
