MD5 crash

Kevin 2 weeks ago in IQANrun updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 days ago 3

Noticed a few times our screen appears to crash out when attempting to connect using IQAN Run via G12 modem. Its not reliably repeatable. Below image is shown on the screen when it crashes out. We have noticed we are using Run version 7.03, could this be why? There does not seem to be any errors when attempting to connect, most of the time it seems to work fine. System has MD5-8 with MC43FS and G12.

IQAN Run 7.03.30.7315

Under review

I don't think the IQANrun version 7.03 is the problem, but it is good information to have as it is an indication of software version in the G12.

When it crashed, did you get past the connect step so that it said "Connected via Bluetooth" in the lower left corner in IQANrun?

Is there anything else on the Diagnostics bus, except the MD5, MC43FS and G12?

I'm afraid I cant say for sure. The equipment is no longer with us either so cannot test further.

From memory I'm fairly confident that run connected successfully and it errored just afterwards. I cannot be sure if the connected square icon went green or not in the corner of the window.

There is nothing else on the diagnostic bus, just those three modules.

Not reproducible

Not sure what it is that could have triggered this, to find the problem we'd need to reproduce or have more information.

For now I'll mark this as "notr reproducible"

In 7.05 the MD5 will have more debug information available, so if it happens again on that version we have a chance of getting more clues.
