Connection lost during SW update
There is definitely a repeatable problem with 7.05. I have loaded 3 different programs with no changes other than updating to 7.05 from 7.04 and they all stopped after loading the two MD4's when it tried to load the first MC43 (we have two MD4's and 3 MC43's in all these machines). Disconnected and no replay from the MC43. I tried both IqanDesign 7.05 and IqanRun 7.05 with the same results.

We also had this when updating a MD5-8 & MC43FS system from 7.04 to 7.05 via G12. Once it crashed out we couldn't reconnect using G12 at all, MD5 was displaying no application and it refused to connect because it couldn't see the MC43 (an error dialogue box in IQAN run).
Had to hardwire into the CAN to recover the system. This was stable and appeared to be OK.

Michael,
I believe there might be something system specific triggering the problem.
When a system with two MD4 modules is updated in one go, the MD4 with the Ethernet connection will be quick while one MD4 will get firmware and application update over the 250 kbps CAN. The complete update could then easily take 15 minutes. But unless there is something else going on, it should go through.
-Did the MC43 modules show any unusual blink code?
-Are there any other CAN nodes than the five IQAN masters on the Diagnostics bus?
-Any indication that there could be physical issues on CAN, for example number of terminations?
No other Can nodes on the diagnostics/master bus....all Iqan Master modules. Terminations are fine (loaded 7.04 no problem)...when I loaded the 7.05 it would stop after loading the MD4's every time when it started to toad the first MC43 (address tag 3). After it stopped i had to restart the system with mismatch and load the program and it takes after the key cycled.
It is a combined Diagnostic and Master bus if you want to do a test setup there.
