Start measure in application viewer grayed out

I've experienced the same thing. In trying random things, I noticed that disconnecting from the system, closing IQANrun and restarting it, and then reconnecting to the system seems to fix the issue - not with 100% success; takes a couple of restarts sometimes. 

It sounds as if the problem you see is when measuring from the application view? 

It will be grayed out when the main IQANrun window is the measure tab. 

This is happening even when the main window is not in the measure tab. It seems to happen at random, and restarting IQANrun and reconnecting to the system fixes it, albeit not always.

Fixed in IQANrun 7.06, scheduled for release next month.

I would like to bring it up as not fixed. I had the issue in 7.05, found this thread, updated to 7.06 and the greyed button now is available is black as it should, but when I try to start measure, it pops this error msg :

And when I try to use the measure group, it works fine, measure groups work fine.

I gives me this pop msg even if I use Get and view project. I am using a G12 with a MC43 in a super simple system...

The message is expected if you have an ongoing send or get operation in the main window. 

But if you try to start measure immediately after a "Get and view", I cannot see how you could get this. 

What are you viewing in the project viewer when trying to start measure? There is a small issue that it won't start if you have a view without anything to measure on (such as settings), but that is a slightly different error message.

We are using an IQANGO remote assistance connection. If we connect from a laptop over bluetooth, or over CAN, we do not get this issue and everything works. It seems to be isolated to the IQANGo remote assistance, as far as I can tell,  but I am not equipped at the moment to connect the ethernet port of the MC43 directly to not use IQANGo, but it can be done if it helps troubleshooting the issue.

To clarify, if we boot the system, set the remote assistance connection, connect over IQANRun to the device, then open the IDAX file in the IQANRUn project (no action of send, get and view or anything beforehand) it opens the idax file and allows me to click the button Start Measure, which pops the message shown above. 
If I open IQANDesign instead of IQANRun, connect using Remote connection (same as IQANRUN), it DOES work. I can see the green squares and the values calculated in real time. The issue seems to be isolated to IQANRUN somehow. Sometimes, I can use the measure group, sometimes it does not work. And I can use the adjust items.

This happens even if I try to start measure when deep in the project file where there is blocs to be measured.
