MD5 Display page navigation

We are trying out an MD5 module for the first time and we have found an issue with display page navigation. this issue does not occur with the same code on and MD4. We had buttons on each page that directly linked to other pages but they seemed to not function consistently. The button would register the touch (button lights up) but the page would not change. this was very inconsistent. To try a solution, we made the buttons connect to virtual inputs and linked them to the "show page" parameter and everything worked fine. Have you seen this issue?
