IQANLauncher

We have many machines running a range of firmware versions, we need to ensure we prepare program updates containing the same firmware as already exists on the machine, purely due too the bad experiences when updating firmware remotely.

I assumed IQANLauncher would open the correct version of IQANDesign (If the application version is installed) when a program is double clicked, but we have found this not always the case.
There doesnt seem to be any documentation on this program that I can find, can we get info on its intended purpose and use.

We've had a lot of issues with the multi-master firmware dependencies as well.

Trying to keep which specific version of everything is needed is very difficult.

So many variables:

IQANdesign firmware (programmer)

IQANrun firmware (technician)

The copies of the files on our server firmware

The firmware reported by the modules (which has no correlation to IQAN software (Firmware Discrepancy / Software / IQAN))

Not sure how I'm supposed to prepare a PLC to slot into a multi-master system without having to flash both PLCs to the same firmware on site. Seems like no matter what we've tried we have to flash them on site.

I'm supposed to ask the user to check the checksum every time?
