Dedicated Quick Close Menu Command

I've liked how pressing the Menu Button while in the Menu will open option menus in the Measure groups and such, and that a long press of the menu button will close the menu entirely, and was wondering if it would be at all possible to separate those two commands? As currently I am unable to create any sort of hotkey, such as a button that takes you to the home screen from wherever you may be, without losing the ability to open the raw vs scaled value option in the measure groups
