MD5 ID tag with termination
So if the MD5 states it does not have internal termination, I can not set termination in IQAN design. Does this also mean that using a ID tag with (T) such as 20085140 (0T) will not terminate the bus?

You need to use an external termination but not the ID-tags with the T.
Those tell the expansion units to set their internal termination resistors on the CAN bus, they are not actual termination resistors.
You need to put a 120 ohm resistor between CAN-H and CAN-L.
On the MD5 units we have double pins for each CAN so it is easier to just add a resistor there.
We do sell 120 ohms resistors in the same style as the ID-tags with different terminal types.
Do keep in mind that you still need to have the normal ID-tag also.
