small ida3 files

The project files I create are about 21 Mb in size. Example files are usually < 500Kb.
Why ?
Having a difficult time downloading via the CAN port

I did not know the MD4 files were much larger.

Hi, the example files are saved as "Stripped Project files" without the Firmware of the modules:
Click on "File-->Export-->Export to..."

If you run a System with a MD4 you should try the Ethernet-Port, its much faster.

As Arno says, some of the example files are stripped project files. Such files use the .ids3 file extension (instead of .ida3).
Another thing that affects the size of a project file is the master module type(s) used. E.g. project files containing one or more MD4:s are significantly larger than others.
