Diagnostic Entries for application

David Freeman 9 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 7 years ago 5
Currently the only way to populate the diagnostics in an application is to create an spn for each diagnostic. In some applications we have 500-600 diagnostics. Is the a way we could populate and spn table with a spreadsheet or txt file
GOOD, I'M SATISFIED

This now works terrific, I can now use IQAN on more extensive projects with large Diagnostic capabilities.

In 3.14 we added DM1 and DM2 lists to the MD4 menu system (under Info > Modules > J1939 module). These lists will show also SPN's that are not defined in your application. They currently show just the SPN/FMI number, but a future enhancement is planned where we will add default descriptions from the SAE J1939 specification.
Not exactly what you asked for, but maybe this is enough for your needs?
Well that gets us closer, but I think we would still be lacking the pop up screens that come with the defined diagnostics.

I was thinking something closer to what is available for for implementing different languages, with the export and importing of the spreadsheet.

Ok, thank you for your input. We have a few ideas on how to solve this, your input has been added.
