ISO 26262

Dear Gustav.

Could you please tell me if the MD4 is ISO 26262?

Short answer is no. 


ISO 26262 is a standard for functional safety in automotive applications. 

For safety functions, I recommend looking at the IQAN-MC4xFS series that we have designed and certified to IEC 61508. 

The IEC 61508 standard is more general purpose, we choose it because of its suitability for application in safety of machinery. There is some more information on functional safety for mobile machinery here. 


A good system design is usually to have one or more MC4xFS modules implementing the safety functions on the machine, with an MD4 as master display in the system.
