Baud rate for MD4 Diagnostics over CAN

Hello,

I have reviewed the forums and have seen some comments from around 2 years ago stating that the diagnostics over CAN for the MD4 units using IQANdesign require 250kbps baud rate. Is that still the case or can we use a bus network at 500 kbps? Thanks.

Yes, with 6.08 (and upcoming 7.00), the diagnostics bus is still 250 kbps.

A later update will make it possible to select higher speed on the diagnostics bus, for systems with MD4 that will enable 500 kpbs.

Update to this post, MD4 will be able to run 500 kbps on diagnostics bus with a 7.x update.

MD5 will also be able to run CAN FD.
