Anyone else receive 3D printed clips?
Surely injection moulded would be the way to go here.
Water will soak into the porous material and the clips will fail?

Still waiting to receive them. 8 week lead time. At $24 a piece they better not be 3D printed.
We were quoted the same $240 per 10 piece kit.
I think we'll have to develop our own metal clips if they can't solve this craziness.
I got confirmation the 3D prints are the official short-term solution until they get the injection molds made up. No eyes on when this will happen.

Looking at these over complicated clips though I'm not surprised they are having difficulty making them.

MD5-8 3D Printed Bracket V3.STLCan anyone tell me how far these clips stick out beyond the recommended panel cutout? Trying to design the spacing for the oversized hole that the panel will bolt to and don't have any information on the dimensions of these clips.
To answer my own question, they seem to protrude roughly 1 cm outside the front flange of the MD5-12 uncompressed. I imagine these will tend to flare out a bit more when compressed on a panel.
Are the holes these clips screw into really unthreaded plastic with self tapping screws on the clips? I worry about the durability of a design like that. What happened to threaded inserts or a metal chassis like the MD4?
The VESA mounting holes in the heat sink are a nice touch, but it seems like the panel mounting provisions were a half-baked afterthought.
