We're excited to announce the release of IQANsync for iPhone. It is available for download on Apple's App Store now.
IQANsync for Android will be released later this year.
IQAN-G11 will be available in April.

I would like see an update to the sync app that fixes the issue of disconnecting from the G11 device when you switch to a different screen on your phone or tablet. This has become a big issue for us.
I am an user of IqanSync iOS with G11 on MD3/MC2 and MC42/MD4-10.
I have find some trouble to use when I try to do some diagnostic on very far country over internet, or with poor internet connection.
When you update over internet ("Connect to machine"), after click on Send machine, on the progress windows you read "Stop application", and you can wait very longtime, because on the mahcine screen there is a message to ask the user (with accept or not). For the technician it will be better to change "Stop application" to "Stop application and wait the acceptance of user".
It is very very difficult (like impossible) to update the firmware of MD3 and MD4-10 if the connection is poor. It seems that the data is not store on the iPhone before start the update, but send continusly It will be better that :
- 1: IqanDesign/IqanRun send the file to the iPhone,
- 2: the iPhone install the update himself (the update can be finish even if the connection is lost).
With MD4-10 the file is more than 25 MB, and there no email box can be manage file with this size. I will be better that the firmware is auto-download by the IqanSync Apps (idem for IQANrun), like that we can send just a stripped file.
If the custommer install the application himself (with a file send by email), it will need the master code. How it is possible to do that without the master code ?
From a service and support standpoint it would be super if a feature was added to the IQANsync software for us to be able to extract the IQAN IDA file from the master module, upload it to the dropbox folder and have it be accessible from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Being able to get an IDA file from dropbox and send it to the master module via IQANsync is very helpful, now we need to be able to reverse this process. Is there any thought for adding this feature in upcoming updates of IQAANsync?.
Transferring firmware resources with the G11 is impractically slow. Is there any way to view the firmware resources within or required by an IDAX file? I would like to make revisions that are deliverable by G11 with minimal to no firmware migration.
When I send an IDAX file to the field, I would like to be confident of how long it should take to perform. Stopping an upgrade in-process, once it has been initiated, does not seem like a safe method to cancel and recover the previous software. I am concerned about having a battery go dead during an update or a mechanic being pulled off the job and turning a machine into a brick.
I do not understand what triggers the upgrade/replacement of firmware resources, if it is application-specific, or strictly tied to IQANdesign major/minor versions?
Hi, I tryed to open a 6.00 MD4 application on Androïd and Iphone IQANsync as well to send it through a G5-Bluetooth modem and the IQAN file wasn't supported by the phone application. Are you expecting to provide a new mobile app on one or the other platform soon ?
IQANsync 5.02 is now available in App Store/Google Play. New features are:
- Support for 5.02 project and clone files
- Password manager with support for safe passwords (for Android, added in 5.01 for iOS)
- Additional CSV file attached mail when sending log (for Android, added in 5.01 for iOS)
Another change is that Dropbox support has been removed. We recommend you use the built-in Files app on iOS or a file explorer of your choice on Android. These file managers have support for Dropbox and many other cloud storage providers, e.g. Google Drive, OneDrive, and iCloud Drive.
On iOS you will find your IQANsync folder under Locations > On My iPhone > IQANsync. Use the Files app to move files to and from this folder.
On Android the same folder is found under (Internal memory) > Documents > IQAN Files. There are a number of file explorers available on Google Play if your Android device does not have one installed already, e.g. FX or Solid Explorer.
After trying using a license from order PAR200320-9387-12132, by means of Android IQANSync, G11 in the system, and a remote connection from IQANDesign, connection was automatically refused by the system because the master unit was not properly configured to accept remote connections.
Being so, a well configured application was sent to the local technician, so he could send it directly from his smartphone to the machine, once again by means of iqanSync and G11.
He tried from several smartphones, but it was impossible to update the application locally ( due to different kind of connection errors), so in the end it was impossible to stablish a successful remote connection.
Because of that, the license wasn’t really used for its purpose, apart from trying initialising the connection...you can check it if you can. The thing is it was consumed.
I think, even if some sort of comunnication was used for initialicing the remote connection, the licenses shouldn't be consumed until a properly connection was stablished. i.e, after connection authoritation from the master. And not from the very first bit send or received.
