Can anyone advise how big a log record is (analogue values) so that I can determinate the capacity of the logging memory in terms of number of records. Is all of the 64MB available for logging or is some reserved for system logs?

I have a potential application where I would need to display streams from 2 axis cameras. One will be a visual light unit and the other will be a thermal imaging unit. I guess I will need to use a POE switch to connect the units to a screen. Has anyone tried this type of set up?

Also the visual light camera has a zoom function - how could this be controlled via IQAN?

When the Log MC3 is full, the MD3 not saved the news erreur yet the log full behavior is put on Continue logging.

In the help his write :

Continue logging makes the log delete its oldest records to make room for newer. Use this option if it is more important to see the latest events.

Why my news erreurs is not saved ?

I have been working all morning on a sequential application and on doing a save - Iqandesign has completely frozen and eventually crashed windows!

Unfortunately I made the fatal error of not pressing the save button frequently enough and so the only live file on my machine is the one I started with at 8.30 this morning!!

There is a backup file which appears to be from just before the crash but when I try to open it Iqan is telling me that it was made by a previous version of Iqandesign 4

Is there any way of finding out which version and is it possible to download older versions - I can't find them on the parker website - only the latest version.

I'm trying to select from two different inputs to drive the one output, using a joystick for travel mode input and a potentiometer for sweep mode input. IAny ideas or any programming examples.

Is there a method available to protect, via pin code access, changing the time and date entry via preference date/time display page in an MD3?

We have been experiencing issues with operators on one of our end-user sites with our mobile equipment. We have implemented a method of tracking the operator that is currently using the equipment via a terminal access key value being transmitted to the MD3 over J1939 bus and then capturing the data via event logs. The events are time/date stamped, works well. The new issue we are experiencing is that the operators are now manipulating the system time and date and I would like to inhibit them from being able to do so.

We have a machine in the field running 3.19 and we need to update the software remotely. To avoid updating the firmware (it takes too long and sometimes fails half way though updating) i need to revise the software using the correct version of IQAN Design originally installed on the machine. The machine appears to be running on firmware version 3.19.9.3143 in the MD3 and 3.19.9.2170 in the MC3. This is a multi master system.

Can anyone confirm which version of 3.19 I need to build the software change into to prevent having to update the firmware in the machine please? There are multiple versions of 3.19.9 and if I choose the incorrect one it will update the firmware.

I have tried to simulate 3.19.7 and 3.19.9 and use IQAN Run 3.19 to look at the firmware revision but the firmware does not appear to match what we have running in the machine. When I simulate I get 3.19.2.

Is there a list of supported DLA devices for IQANanalyze?

My problem is I am trying to connect to a 500k CAN network.. The Vansco DLA is only supported of the 250k (or at least that is all I can get it to work on), so I need an adapter that will work with analyze and a 500k CAN systems. I have a Dearborne DPA5, but I cannot get IQAN to recognize it.

Any suggestions?
