I just got your submitted bug report on IQANsimulate. It looks like there is a problem with one of the logs in the MD4 simulator. If you find and delete the log files for the simulated project it should work again. IQANsimulate stores the log files in the following folder:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\IQANsimulate 4\<Project ID>\<Module type-Address>\Logs

- Replace <username> with your windows username

- Replace <Project ID> with the id of your project (can be found in project statistics in IQANdesign)

- Replace <Module type-address> with e.g. MD4-7-0 for and MD4-7 with address 0.

If you want you can submit the log files to us for examination before deleting them (maybe we can get some clues to why they will not load). In that case you can use this link: https://iqan.sharefile.com/filedrop

iQan Simulate 4.02.5.3440 MD4 bug

David Dufour 8 years ago in IQANsimulate updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 8 years ago 13

I just updated to the Version 4.02.5.3440 and I'm unable now to see the start page on the screen. The only thing I have is the version number on the bottom right of the panel.

It work with a MD3 program.

To do the test, I use the demo program from Parker.

The MD3 demos work correctly, but all MD4 demos won't.

How to apply a license with unattended setup

Is there a way to deploy IQANrun and IQANsimulate2 with an unattended, silent setup AND to also apply our license information?

Change status of analogue voltage inputs when simulating

Kevin 9 years ago in IQANsimulate updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 9 years ago 4
What would be really useful would be setting the status of a analogue input to a given value. This value needs to fall outside of the max and min values as configured, ie. a disconnect or overvoltage. We need the ability to simulate a transducer disconnect to see how the system reacts, but it dosn't look like its possible, only on outputs.

Multi master simulation question/idea

Ed Schippers 9 years ago in IQANsimulate updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 9 years ago 1
When simulating a multi master setup with MD4 (master) and optional MD3 (remote control), I need to test the setup with and without the optional MD3. Is it possible in simulation to activate or deactivate the optional master? If not it may be a nice feature for the future.

Cycle time effects timer counting 3.18

Kevin 9 years ago in IQANsimulate updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 8 years ago 5
I have an application (1 MC3) that uses a timer which seems to count 10000 ms correctly with real time when the cycle time is set to 50ms. This is how I would expect it to behave.

When I reduce the cycle time of the application down to 5ms the time taken to get to 10000ms in the MC3 application takes approx. 20000ms in real time. Its almost as if the timer counting has slowed down when I reduce the cycle time.

I have tried as a new application file with simply just a timer counter in and no other logic as I wondered if I was approaching the processing limit but the inaccuracy still appears present?

I haven't tried previous versions of software and been unable to test in a real application so I can only assume this could be an issue with simulate and not IQAN Design?
