partly locking of application in IQAN design

Martin 9 years ago 0

Hello!

we have a costumer, which would like to make an CAN-Interface for different trucks by himself.

We would like to allow this only, if we can lock in our application all things, except CAN-Interface Module for Truck.

I have tried to make some locks in the application, but this is not possible as I needed. For example I cannot lock the Menu.

Is there a possibility to lock everything, except one software module?
If not, can you program something for us?

MC3 APP In Problem

Kevin 9 years ago updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 9 years ago 3

I have a problem with a system that uses APP in and out between three modules, one MD4, two MC3. I have found that one MC3 does not appear to be receiving APPIN's. When I monitor the modules in IQAN Run, all modules appear to be talking successfully. When I look at IQAN Design the APPIN's on the module that's faulting says Error, Timeout and its red not green. On the module that's sending the APPOUT, the function block APPOUT is green and OK. Its almost as if the modules are not starting at the same time and the timeout for the first APP in to be received is being reached?

Is there any way of finding out more information about this error?

The machine was working OK for some time and it just happened randomly and now im unable to recover the machine. We also have other machines running this software and same software version and it appears OK.

I have extended the 50ms cycle time to 100ms,on all three modules with no success. Is there any reason why this could have happened? Running Design 3.19.9.

Using a PWM out with an MR above 100% on an XC43

John Ditner 1 month ago 0

What happens to a PWM out signal when it is above the max of 100%. I have a function that is working particularly well at 103%. note: PWM freq = 100Hz.

MD5 image issue

Joe Logger 2 months ago updated 2 months ago 4

I am using an MD5-10 Display. I imported my code over from IQAN 6 to IQAN 702. My display images logic works fine in IQAN 6 and it works fine when viewed through IQAN 7.02 Simulate. But when I flash it onto the display, the image visibility on the display doesn't behave the same in some instances. There are some images that won't go away on the actual display even though the IDC driving the visibility is false. Also, the state images don't change until they are shown on a less extensive display page. The odd thing is it works fine in IQAN 7.02 simulate. I seem to have determined that if I take half the images away the images reload normally. Can the display have too many images on a single page to update and just freeze or stop?

MC43 with MD5 error while "receiving baseline"

Mats 3 months ago updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 months ago 2

While uploading the IQAN Design program to the MC43 which is connected to the MD5 via CAN the screen goes dark after the "receiving baseline" reaches +-15%. To get this far the module needs about 15 minutes as well which seems to long. Is there any logical explanation for this behavior? ps. the system worked fine in the testlayout, now installed in the machine the module was powered off while uploading (Due to a blown fuse). Since this moment the MD5 does not update anymore.

How to Perform CPU Overload Testing for the Parker MC43 Module?

Sayan Biswas 3 months ago updated by Lars Bolduc 3 months ago 1

Hello,

I’m working with the Parker MC43 module and need to perform CPU overload testing to ensure it handles high loads effectively and remains stable under stress. Could anyone provide guidance or best practices on how to conduct CPU overload tests for the MC43 module? Specifically, I’m looking for:

  1. Testing Methodology: What are the recommended methods or tools for simulating high CPU loads on the MC43 module?
  2. Configuration Details: Are there specific settings or configurations within the MC43 module that I need to adjust to perform these tests?
  3. Monitoring: What tools or techniques should be used to monitor CPU load and performance during testing?
  4. Thresholds and Limits: Are there known thresholds or limits for CPU usage on the MC43 module that I should be aware of?
  5. Troubleshooting: What common issues should I watch for during stress testing, and how can I address them?

Any advice or resources related to performing these tests would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help.

TOC2 Error Code

Kerry Brock 3 months ago 0

I have a TOC2 flashing an error code that is not shown in the instruction book that I can find.

The left LED is steady green and the right LED flashes red, on/off every half second.

I am trying to get the application file from the TOC2, but when I try the two scenarios happen:

1. If I have the property "Low speed" checked, I get a "No response from IQAN system" message.

2. If I de-check the "Low speed" property, I get a "Invalid application. Please send a valid application to the IQAN system and try again" message.

I am guessing the flash code and messages are related.

What would cause the flash code?   Thanks!

The goal here is to get the application file from the TOC2 to help out with programming.

It does have a standard TOC2 part number, but we don't know if the application file has been changed.
