Keeping track of max time of activity per hour

Lars Olsson 8 months ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 8 months ago 1

I have a task to keep track of the time a machine runs at an increased speed which is allowed 5 min/hour in total. Time at overspeed is added to a counter but I also need to handle the fact that overspeed that happened an hour ago needs to be subtracted. Has anyone had a task like that and found out a good solution?

Latching with delay on time

Kerry Brock 8 months ago in IQANdesign updated 8 months ago 2

test.idax  I am running into an issue with an IDC channel that seems odd.  Using IQANdesign 7.02 The activating object is a DIN and I have the delay on time for the idc set to 2000 ms.  I cycle the DIN on and back off well before 2000 ms, so the IDC should not see the DIN true for 2000 ms.  After I cycle the DIN on and back off the IDC latches true after 2000 ms. I would expect that since the DIN is not true for 2000 ms, it should not latch true, but it does.  Is it operating as intended or is there something I am missing?  (test.idax is attached which is the example I am seeing this in.)

How can we assign items to adjust groups if they're imported as an external function in an IQAN Design program?

Amin Syed 8 months ago in IQANdesign updated 8 months ago 2

I'm new to IQAN and while copying an existing Function group in the application logic section I came accross the fact that all links are now broken (Which makes sense). Is there:

1. An easier fix to align i/o mapping and logic connections apart from manually doing it for everywhere the links broken in the program (like a list for I/O)? In my case I have product 1 and product 2 that I need to configure to 2 pages on a HMI screen and then copy the screen to another one available elsewhere.

2. A series for IQAN design that explains how the copy of a function group can easily be configured?

3. And How can we assign items to adjust groups if they're part of an imported external function in an IQAN Design program?

CAN bus joysticks

Melker Göransson 8 months ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 8 months ago 1

Is there any example or documentation to read regarding how to use joysticks with can interface? And what to think about to get it safe and smooth. Thanks.

Transfer license from one user to another

Tiger H 9 months ago in IQANdesign updated 8 months ago 3

Hello,

A computer that had the old license for IQAN 7.02 went missing, and now I need IQAN setup on another computer.  Is there another way to find the license number?

TPOUT

Ryan 9 months ago in IQANdesign updated 9 months ago 2

I am needing information about the TPOUT channel that the manual does not provide.

I want to send message using J1939 to a 3rd party that will display the message on a user display. (NOT IQAN)

I need know how the message is sent in the TPOUT J1939 data packet.

Can I use the TPOUT channel, or do I need to convert the message from ASCII to HEX and send using a JPOUT channel?

Is it send as a multipacket with one char per byte?

If so, which char is offset bits 1-8, first char in the message or last char in the message.

Thank you

Multi master

chris hughes 9 months ago in IQANdesign updated by Michael Carlyle 9 months ago 1

I’m attempting to operate 5 of our platforms together. Normally each platform has a single MC43FS. This project has 5 of these controllers, connected with diagnostic and master buses. If more than three controllers are powered, the headmaster fails to power its outputs. I figured that this could be due to too many application outputs. I’ve attempted to use two separate master buses but this still doesn’t seem to work. Any help would be much appreciated, this is a one off project for marketing purposes so it’s a bit out of our usual expertise.
