Does someone know how to make a VDIN (virtual digital) on an MD4 to control a DOUT (Digital out) on MC43?

I get the warning “Channel assigned to an unreachable module”

Not sure how memory-writes work in IQAN, so wWe were wondering if large (4096 elements) could be a potential problem.

A large array is used to store adjustable settings, coming from an input terminal. We don't have that many parameters really -typically 100 or so- but we use ID-number-referencing to quickly SET/GET a stored value.

To my knowledge, EEPROM writes should be limited as much as possible. So if I change one element in this array, do all 4096 elements get rewritten into EEPROM, or just that single spot? Or to put the question differently is it recommended to use separate Memorize channels instead of big arrays? The reason we chose arrays is to quickly code stuff, regardless if there are 10 or 1000 parameters.

And about limiting, when does IQAN actually write its EEPROM? As soon as something changes in an Array or when a Memorize channel is triggered, or does it do some smart stuff behind the scenes?

Fairly new to the Iqan design... When I try to receive a Can Message (generic 29bit identifier) with ID 0x18FF01, the ID is said to be out of range??? But my ID is in the ID range?!

I tried today to download a 5.x program into a brand new MC2 unit who have never been upgraded with a new firmware. (Actually, I used 5.03 version)

I always go no communication with the MC2 until I use a V4.x iQan design.

After the first firmware update from 4.07 iQanDesign, I was able to complete the task from the 5.03.

There is an issue with this version ?

Does anyone know if its possible to increase the size of the "pop-up" boxes used for conditional messages etc.

Is there a way to use the +/- feature (available through the Adjust option inside the Menu) in a display page created by me? I have a user friendly settings page, but it seems sloppy to use it with the Slider control.

How can I save the value of a previous state with the memorizing calculation? I can't seem to figure out what I need to use as my activating to just get the previous value.

New features

Multimeter in IQANdesign
The free floating quick-measure "Multimeter" window from IQANrun is added in IQANdesign. 
It is possible to bring up the Multimeter window and drag channels to it while measuring, or while editing the application.

Use IQANdesign 5.03.12 for this feature

Graph measure in IQANrun multimeter
It is now possible to add a multimeter measure group to the IQANrun graph measure view by selecting the group or one of its items and clicking the graph
button in the multimeter toolbar. You can then use the same features as when measuring on a regular measure group, such as starting/stopping the measurement, zooming, saving etc.

GT module and telematics node in IQANdesign
A new type of gateway module is added, GT - Gateway Telematics. This represents a generic Parker IQAN Connect gateway supporting IQAN remote diagnostics via IQANconnect and 
telematics; signal collection from the application sent to a server. 

More information on the gateway hardware and the telematics service will follow in the next couple of months. 

Important bug fixed

XC21, XC22 and XC23 inputs frozen after cranking -fixed.
This problem existed in versions 4.07 - 5.02. The master module could freeze all input values of an XC2x if the module had a short dip in power supply,  <9V for tens of ms. The dip had to be short enough to restarte the XC2x whbefore it had timed out in the application. 
Applications with longer cycle times e.g. 50ms were more likely to be affected.

Have you used any bluetooth transmitter / receiver with Iqan? I want to send sensor signal 0-5V to MD4 with bluetooth.

Has anyone had any experience connecting a Red Lion Data Station Plus to a MC43? In IQAN 5 I have configured a Generic Can Bus with a Generic Can module and using a GFOUT frame. In the Red Lion I have a CAN card and am using the IQAN driver, but I can't seem to communicate. In Analyze my address shows up as -1 and no contact. I have no idea what to try, if anyone has a working example it would be greatly appreciated.
