Prevent DFIN Quadrature Speed Sensor Error

Michael Carlyle 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 12 months ago 6

Is there a way to prevent these DFIN speed sensor errors form showing on MC43' and MC41's - as they are intermittent and by the time you look at the channel they are working.  It would be nice to be able to disable these messages in certain applications as they seem to only come up on the DFIN and not Frequency Inputs so they must be something to do with the error checking between the two signals.  If we could have an adjustable setting for the error detection or be able to turn it off that would be ideal.

CRC Test.idsx

This idsx calculates the CRC correctly. however the receiver will not accept unused bits set to 1. The CRC simulator calculates correctly. How can we set unused bits to 0?

Unable to communicate with MD4 via ethernet

Deanne 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated 3 years ago 1

Currently trying to connect to an MD4-5 via ethernet (using D6). When I connect the ethernet cable to my computer directly from the MD4, it says it is offline and no master is selected. The MD4 also does not show up as a device on the same network. We are using a generic ethernet cable and wondering if this could be a wiring issue? MD4 powers up when the system is ON.

Error: Unassigned for JFIN and JFOUT

Liam Diprose 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated 3 years ago 2

Hello Everyone,

Today was my first day using IQANdesign (version 6.08). I'm glad to report that I found most things intuitive.

I'm trying to send J1939 parameters from one master module to another. I've linked the parameters to a J1939 Frame out, but I can't get it to shake the error "Unassigned". I've read elsewhere that JFOUT needs to "be linked to a module".

Can someone please explain what that means and how I can go about assigning it?

I am willing to provide more information if needed.

drag and drop channels into object list

NEricson 3 years ago in IQANdesign 0

Some way to drag and drop channels into an object list would be cool. It would save a lot of time having to select single object then going over and typing or selecting the channel. Even it was just limited to the same function group.

Andy Pauly 3 years ago in IQANdesign 0

Hello

For Custruction machines a CCTV system should comply to ISO16001.

Does the IQAN-SV and the Screen MD4-5" are complying to this standard??

Automatic update of System time for a Multi Module System for Summer/Daylight Savings?

Julian Robinson 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 3 years ago 1

How can I automatically update the System time for daylight savings (summer time)?  There is no additional device to use TDA?

ie if the Multi Master system is time synced with IQANrun during Summer Time (+1hr), then when the daylight savings finishes nd we go back to Winter Time, then the time is now incorrect.  Visa versa for Time Sync in Winter Time, when we enter Summer Time. I tried to find any articles in this Forumn, but  could not.

Thanks

Julian

Acceptable Characters for ClearText Passwords

Mark Bevington 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 2

I've looked through the various IQANdesign/IQANrun docs and can't seem to find anything that spells out what characters are acceptable for use as part of a cleartext password. Can one use characters from the Extended Characters Set (0x80-0xFF) to create a cleartext password?
