Read device information via CAN-Open

Chris D 2 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 2

Hello everyone,

I'm still relatively new to IQAN design and would like to integrate an I/O board from Datapanel.

For this I first try to read information from the board using CAN-Open. Later this board will also be used for inputs and outputs.

Unfortunately, I fail to read out information because I don't know how this can be realized via IQAN design and CAN-Open. I found the following information in the manufacturer's documentation.

Function Group Inputs Order Does not Match

ksilovich 2 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 11 months ago 5

I noticed that my function group order on the right does not match the layout of the group itself.

Has screwed me up a few times because I know the order in which it should be and I configured some groups wrong as the layout is not in the same order.

Test rig with automated control of L90 valve

Damian Frankiewicz 2 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 1

Hey together,

for a customer project I am using two plunger cylinders to simulate ground effects on gage wheels.

Therefore the motion of the cylinders should be one extend, the other retract and the other way around with a certain frequecy.

My idea was to realize that with an L90 valve section where the spool goes from one max. stroke to the other.

Is there a possibility to automate this function so for example after activation on the display the COUT goes into max. positive direction and afterwards into max. negative direction and back again? The speed I could adjust via slopes.

I guess this task can be solved with some math channels but do we maybe have a different solution with other channels?

Thanks for your support and regards

Damian

No handshake reply from master module md3[0] over Bluetooth

Andrew 2 years ago in IQANgo updated 2 years ago 4

Hello,

I am unable to connect to a particular MD3 module over bluetooth. The part number is 20077793 and the software version on the MD3 is 2.63.1.2969. I have tested the connection with another MD3 module and have no issues.

I am using a G11 bluetooth adapter with the latest firmware, and the latest IQANgo software on my Android.

Any ideas?

Automatic Level System

Martin Rendos 2 years ago in IQANdesign updated 2 years ago 2

Hello everybody,

I am looking to find some solution for auto leveling option and I have found this.

https://www.parker.com/content/dam/Parker-com/Literature/Electronic-Controls-Division/Literature-files/Bulletin_Auto_Level_HY33-5056_US.pdf

Do you have any idea how can I get to the original program? Or can you provide me with some example?

IQANdevelop Conversion

Atilla Ege 2 years ago in IQANdesign updated 2 years ago 2

Are there any tools available to Parker or system integrators which can be used to convert old IQANdevelop (for MDM, TOC etc controllers) applications to modern IQANdesign applications?

Or is converting it manually the only way?

Grouping bytes to fix bit overlap?

Deanne 2 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Andy 2 years ago 1

I am new to setting up parameters and bit offsetting - I am wondering  how I can group bytes together. I have a GFOUT that is 8 bytes in data length. I have to send a values to byte 1 and 2. One value I have to send to byte 1 is 500 dec which requires 2 bytes or 9 bits. If I change it to either or, there is an overlap.

MD4 won't display unicode character for omega

705David 2 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 10 months ago 3

I am able to enter the unicode character for omega (Ω) into a display page for an MD4 but the MD4 just displays a blank space wherever it is used. I tried displaying it as a Unit with a Value Control as well as plain text in a Label Control with the same results.

Is this a bug?

For reference I have IQAN Design 6.08.24.8136.

This is what the display page looks like in IQAN Design:

Here is the display on the MD4:

Generic GPOUT and GFOUT Error

Deanne 2 years ago in IQANsimulate updated 2 years ago 4

I have a value of 0x1F4 (500 dec) being sent to a generic GPOUT.  I am getting an error and the value isn't being sent through to the parameter so I am wondering if I have set it up incorrectly.
