XA2[1]
HI All.I used XA2[1] for voltage and digital inputs for MD4,While testing I got "NO Contact" Error in RED color as I did not connect any expansion units. Can I give these input values directly to MD4 with CAN and without using Expansion unit XA2[1] connection?
PWM frequency for L90 valve
Hello sir,
I am working with a Parker L 90 valve. The recommended PWM frequency is 100 to 125 hz. I wanted to understand the reason behind.Does this has anything to do with the Resistance/inductance of the coil ? Like the rise time of current in coil ?
If I run the coil with high PWM frequency say 2000 hz , will the current ever reach to maximum (I = V/R) ?
Is the recommendation of 100 hz only for avoiding switching losses or it has to do with performance as well .
Thanks

Hello.
In other systems you can maybe set the PWM frequency and dither frequency separately.
You would add a small oscillation (the dither) on top of the PWM to avoid stiction and hysteresis.
In an IQAN system the PWM frequency is low enough that it creates an oscillation by itself, thus the PWM frequency is also the dither frequency.
Directional Pulse Count Inputs
I need 8 directional pulse count inputs... Is there any hope other than using 4 XA2s? Any plans for an IQAN expansion module that can do 4 or even 8 of this kind of input?
I can't find any 3rd party CAN modules that have this type of input. It seems to be all industrial modules.
Adding safe paswords using IQANSync
I have the latest IQANSync version 5.02.6 downloaded to my iPhone. In the " Manage passwords" tool I can request a safe password however I do not know how to add the safe password once its created. How do we add the safe password?
VREF Error
I was hoping to get some feedback on an error I am encountering. One of our VREF channels is acting up an our MC43 controller. As soon as VBB is greater than 14.0 volts, the Vref goes immediately to 0.0v and throws an error. If VBB drops back down below 14v, the error goes away. The only thing on this Vref is a position sensor (500-4500mv) going into a VIN. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? I'm happy to provide more information if necessary, but I'm not sure what else would be of help.
Regards,
-Chris
