IQANrun tablet region limitations?

Edward Polzin 7 years ago updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 7 years ago 5

Are there any regional limitations to where the IQANrun for iPad is available?  I have a customer in New Zealand who cannot find any IQAN products in the Apple store.

Pin Code Value Visible in a PCC

Anyone know if there is a way to make a pin code value visible on an MD4 using a standard PCC and not using a channel to send the value into the PCC?

Digital Out Peak Time and Hold Value from channel

mgoutier 7 years ago 0

I am using a digital output channel on a proportional coil (I ran out of current outs). I would like to be able to adjust the peak time and hold value in an adjust group so I can test my ranges out with out doing a download every time I make a change.

SAE-J1939 via RJ45 connector

Damian Trutkowski 7 years ago 0

Hi,

I need some advice regarding physical connection of SAE-J1939 between 2 modules fitted on separate machines.

Are there any arguments against to connect it by using RJ45 connectors?

I would like to use a HARTING modular connector with RJ45 insert but I'm not sure if it is a good idea.

Order on FSM

Dingoma 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 2

Hello.

I think it would be a good improvement if we can give to states in FSM the order that we want (not only be allowed to order states in a list)
In this way, if our fsm has some ramifications, we can use any kind of code to give the order to the state and in this way it would be easier to develop the application.
For example, in this image, if we use 2x numbers to the top line, if we need to add a new state between 21 and 22, and the dout must be active also in the new state, it is easier to have something like inside 20 and 29 than add this new state to active if state=20, state=21, state=22...

Not sure if I'm using FSM in the correct way or there is other way to do this, but FSM works really nice

MC43 ( MC4x ) RTC

Antonio Garcia 7 years ago updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 7

Hello!

I've been reading instruction book, but I'm not sure about this doubt. And have no MC43 at the moment to be tested.

In IQAN Design, when adding an MC43 module to the system, it doesn't have "RTC Enabled" property in its property inspector. But, I doubt if it has no internal RTC, or it does, but can't be disabled.

Does MC43 have RTC?

In case MC43 does NOT have RTC:

Will event logs always register the time from system startup?

If there's another master in the system with enabled RTC, MD4 for instance, will the MC43 Logs take the time from the MD4 for its event logs?

Thanks!

Has anyone used any hardware to automatically change the back lighting of the IQAN displays (MD5 MD4 and MD3) automatically with the change of ambient light outside on a vehicle? I have a customer asking the best way to do this, any suggestions or assistance from anyone? Please let me know thanks.

IQANsync 5.01.4

Chris Prestley 7 years ago updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 7 years ago 3

I updated iOS app to 5.01.4 yesterday and now I can not connect to any G11 modem. The app will see the module but when sending file to machine, I get a "Communication interface error" "Could not find services". When going into Bluetooth adapter configuration, it again sees the module but only show 0.00 on firmware, BIOS, and Hardware versions. Prior to this update, everything was working great. System is running 4.07.14.4747 on a MC42.
