Referred public scope channel positions in external functions

Fabian Lagerstedt 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 7

When viewing an external function in a main project file, referred public scope channel positions are reset to upper left corner as if they were referred to again and not yet been manually positioned.

Does anyone know if there is a way to communicate between an IQAN module and a device that uses I²C serial communication protocol?

Prevent DFIN Quadrature Speed Sensor Error

Michael Carlyle 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 6 months ago 6

Is there a way to prevent these DFIN speed sensor errors form showing on MC43' and MC41's - as they are intermittent and by the time you look at the channel they are working.  It would be nice to be able to disable these messages in certain applications as they seem to only come up on the DFIN and not Frequency Inputs so they must be something to do with the error checking between the two signals.  If we could have an adjustable setting for the error detection or be able to turn it off that would be ideal.

CRC Test.idsx

This idsx calculates the CRC correctly. however the receiver will not accept unused bits set to 1. The CRC simulator calculates correctly. How can we set unused bits to 0?

Unable to communicate with MD4 via ethernet

Deanne 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated 3 years ago 1

Currently trying to connect to an MD4-5 via ethernet (using D6). When I connect the ethernet cable to my computer directly from the MD4, it says it is offline and no master is selected. The MD4 also does not show up as a device on the same network. We are using a generic ethernet cable and wondering if this could be a wiring issue? MD4 powers up when the system is ON.

Error: Unassigned for JFIN and JFOUT

Liam Diprose 3 years ago in IQANdesign updated 3 years ago 2

Hello Everyone,

Today was my first day using IQANdesign (version 6.08). I'm glad to report that I found most things intuitive.

I'm trying to send J1939 parameters from one master module to another. I've linked the parameters to a J1939 Frame out, but I can't get it to shake the error "Unassigned". I've read elsewhere that JFOUT needs to "be linked to a module".

Can someone please explain what that means and how I can go about assigning it?

I am willing to provide more information if needed.

access to HELP

Jean-Marc Zanni 3 years ago updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 1

Today(7/25/2022) I opened IQAN design 6.08 and I tried to access the "Iqan Home Page".  I was first redirected to my Default Browser and blocked by because of a potential hazard due to invalid certificate.  Then eventually landed on a Very generic Parker page which does not even recognize the word IQAN in the search....

IQAN Develop connection problem, iqan-mdm

Igor Cegiełka 3 years ago 0

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask for help or advice regarding my problem,

I would like to download apps from my old iqan mdm because the display is broken. I am using Iqan Develop 4.03 with a "change" license and I have a problem with the connection between the computer and the module. Program shows No response from iqan develop error. I changed various com port settings, but it did not help, I use an rs232 usb (Unitek) adapter, I have drivers installed. The adapter has an FTDI chip and I also uploaded the FTDI drivers but still nothing. In my computer I also have an RS232 input, but it works on win 10 and the system does not detect devices connected to the RS232 input in the computer. I have the original iqan-mdm diagnostic cable. On one side of the cable is an RS232 plug and on the other side is a round 8 pin plug that enters the mdm module. I would like to ask the forum for help because it is a very important matter for me. Thank you for any hel

drag and drop channels into object list

NEricson 3 years ago in IQANdesign 0

Some way to drag and drop channels into an object list would be cool. It would save a lot of time having to select single object then going over and typing or selecting the channel. Even it was just limited to the same function group.
