Locked textbutton when message appears

RobinArvidsson 8 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 8 years ago 5

i've got a few "hold"-buttons (not toggle) that is pressed to run a certain function on our machines.

this button(s) is locked in its current state if it is pressed, using external controls, while a message appears.

the intent of having to hold the button to run a function is that it has to be quick and easy to stop the function, by letting go of the button. But if the user gets a message while holding the button it will keep the function on until the message is closed and the button is pressed and released a second time.. see example below.

Is there a way to change the MD4 start screen?

Vivek 8 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 8 years ago 4

The default startup image in IQAN MD4-7 is a Parker Image.

Is there any way to change that? I want the MD4-7 to display a different image (my company's logo) when it boots up.

number of decimals also depending of a channel

Laura 8 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 8 years ago 1

Because we ship our machines all over the world, we have to deal with a lot of units of the sensors, for example pressure in bar kPa MPa and PSI. To show the correct value the number of decimals are depending of the used unit. for bar I don't use a decimal and for MPa I use one decimal.

Is it possible to make the number of decimals depending of a channel?

Save time

Joe 8 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 8 years ago 1

Has anyone else noticed that since 5.01 upgrade, the time to save the design file is much longer.  I commonly get a "(Not Responding)" for a period of time in the window header.  Just curious to know if it may be something other than the upgrade.

State Parameter Error: Refers to itself - iQan 5.01

RobinArvidsson 8 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 8 years ago 9

i just upgraded to IQAN 5.01 and got the "refers to itself" error on one of my state parameters.

i am refering a Text parameter into the "text" field of the states in the state parameter,

The text parameter is using the state parameter as mode selector.

is this bad practice or a bug in the update?

i've done this to be able to display an editable name of my state parameter when using the state picker in the gui.

Copying SPNs

Christoffer Fager 8 years ago in IQANdesign updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 5 years ago 3

Hi,

I noticed that when copying SPNs to a new project or external FG the name is copied but you loose all translations

It would be nice to have all the information included.

What is the easiest way of making quick triggers for Event counter

Captain Sprocket 8 years ago in IQANdesign updated 8 years ago 8

Not sure how to put the correct term to this request, but to explain what I basically want to do is use VDIN buttons as EVENT COUNTER triggers. But when holding the button down for say a second then it must start triggering the event counter continuously in quick successions of say 100ms.

There must be a simple way to do this?

unhide hidden objects MD4 screen

RobinArvidsson 8 years ago in IQANdesign updated 8 years ago 4

i'm using the "visible" slot alot in my display pages on MD4 to conditionally hide and show values/controls alot.

When hiding a value channel, on startup, and then unhide it when for example i press a VDIN the value will not unhide until i press the button the second time.

in the simulator everything works as expected. the value gets visable the first time i press the VDIN, but on the acctual hardware i need to press it twice..

Anyone seen this before? is it a calculation order thing? when do the screen refresh? can i force a "redraw" of the screen?

and the odd thing is that it is only true for the absolute first time after boot, later on all works in the current display page..

IQAN 5.00, MD4-10
