Extract log from clone file

Ville Laine 1 year ago in IQANrun updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 9 months ago 2

I really need to extract logs from the clone file directly to avoid unnecessary trip to customer to try to retrieve just the log file.

I have only clone file with logs because they could get that in the field without IQANRun freezing. 6.08

One log is big and it takes ages to load the clone file in the IQANRun. IQANRun informs many times during opening that it seems that the application is frozen and offers to close it.

I can get the clone file loaded just by continuing the opening even when the IQANRun states that it is frozen.

Same is true when trying to receive log file from the machine in the field. It takes ages and informs multiple times that the application is frozen, but I think if you just push continue it will eventually get the log.

Why it takes soooo long and how do I get the logs out from the clone file?

How can I view the settings in IQANrun 7 from a settings file or clone file? I would like to print these, but I can't get them onto the screen at all. Thanks in advance for the explanation.

IQANrun 7 No CAN adapters found

With IQAN Run 6, I was able to connect to devices via CAN and Ethernet from my computer. However, it does not see the devices in 7. If you have any ideas as to why this might happen, I would like your support.

IQANrun 6.08 bug on measure graph

A DOMS 1 year ago in IQANrun updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 1 year ago 1

I resized the windows with the graphique on a big screen (4k) at my office,

but now I'm disconnected to this big screen, and I can't see the line to resize the graphique view.

it's hidden at the top.

I tried to resize the windows over my laptop screen (FHD) but I can't show the line to resize the graphique windows.

Image 4275

I just found a similar screen, so I could resize the windows and now have access to the line to resize the graphic part.

I'm lucky to do not be on a plane or somewhere I can't connect a big screen !

MC43FS log results not in order or jumbled up?

Kevin 1 year ago in IQANrun updated 1 year ago 2

We have 12 values being logged every second, and I have downloaded the log to find that every 4 minutes and 15 seconds the time counter resets back to 2 hours and starts counting again at 02:00:00. Weirdly earlier results (an earlier index number) also appears to have the same behaviour around 01:00:00 and then it strangely jumped to 02:00:00. It then continues to go back to 02:00:00 every 4 minutes 15 seconds.

Image 4261

I understand the MC43 does not have a clock and we know start 154 is the information I need to extract, but I would have expected the timer to begin at 00:00:00 and carried on counting up until the ignition was cycled and log stated 'Start 155'.

Can I assume they are all in the correct order based on the index value rather than the time? ie. greater index value = most recent log and timer counting is not relevant?

See below a similar record earlier where it jumps from 01:00:00 to 02:00:00:

Image 4262

The log is set to recycle so can hopefully discount filling up the controller and it not being able to handle the quantity. This log is set to occupy 95% of the log memory.

IQANRun does not execute the script if executing from command line

Jussi Haapanen 2 years ago in IQANrun updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 3

I am evaluating IQAN and am using the Fine Control example project with a simulator. I am trying to run an IQANscript script to fetch the logs from the simulator. Running the script works if I manually select it from the IQANrun user interface but when I run it on command line interface

.\IQANrun.exe -cif Simulator -send "Path\To\Script.issx"

The software will start and connect to the simulator but will not execute the script. I was wondering if this is caused by the evaluation version or are the command line interface parameters incorrect?

Set date/time from IQANrun 7 on module without RTC

A DOMS 2 years ago in IQANrun updated 8 months ago 4

An other bugs, or bad evolution also in IQANrun 7,

I am using two MC43 on my machines, and I know MC43 don't have RTC.

But I added an external RTC to my project, and to set it, I use IQANrun to set Time and Date in my calculator, and then I can send the good Time and Date in my external RTC.

Each time I start my machine, my external RTC set my calculators and they are with the good time and date.

But now, if I understand well, because using MC43 (without RTC), setting Time and Date is not allowed in IQANrun.

I spend hours and hours to make it working :
