Outputs Missing in IQANDesign

Lars Bolduc 3 years ago in Expansion modules / XC4x updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 3 years ago 3

I've noticed that the following XC43 pins appear inaccessible via IQANdesign:

C1:61

C1:62

C1:63

C1:64

C2:69

C2:70

C2:71

C2:72

Is this by design or am I missing something? They're listed as PWMOUTs or High Side DOUTs in the manual.

IQANdesign 6.04.5.5888

I have not checked the other XC4x modules.

VREF error on XC43 Enable

jolynik 3 years ago in Expansion modules / XC4x updated 3 years ago 10

Working on a project in which 2 XC43 modules are not supplied with power until the MD4 commands a safety relay contactor closed.

I've worked through almost all the bugs, but I'm getting a VREF A error as soon as the XC43 modules enable. I've tried leaving up to a 30 second delay after powering the XC43 modules to enable them, but the error still pops up for one cycle and then shows up on screen (Watching in a measure group, VREF starts at 0V for one or so cycles, then goes right to 5V). All the sensors read fine, just have the error at system start.

Is there any way to delay how long it takes for the VREF error to show

W out engine alternator connect to frequency in terminal C1:24 XA2

claudio 4 years ago in Expansion modules / XA2, XS2 updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 4 years ago 1

Hi to all

Is it possible to connect the terminal W of the engine alternator to terminal C1:24 "Frequency In" of the XA2?

The diesel engine work at 24V , it is an old engine and don't has the J1939 bus.

XA2 No contact error. The led indications on the XA2 module are fine. All XA2 modules  after this module on the expansion bus has status OK. Could Anyone point out what is going on here Please?

XC10 POWER CONTROL input consumption

Adolfo 4 years ago in Expansion modules / XC10 updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 4 years ago 3

Can I know the XC10 POWER CONTROL input consumption or input resistance?

I cannot find this data in the iqan-xc10_uk_instructionbook 2016...

Thanks in advance and best regards.

xc43 referance voltage

Ed Schippers 4 years ago in Expansion modules / XC4x updated by Cristian Ramirez 2 years ago 5

On the XC4x serie there are multiple Vref+ and Vref- and on both C1 and C2

Are these interaly connected in the module?

Or are they seperate from eachother and serve only dedicated Vin's?

Best Regards Ed

PWM OUT HS to control proportional valve "D1FBE01HC0NJJ3"

Hassan 4 years ago in Expansion modules / XC4x updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 4 years ago 2

I'm using the expansion module XC43 to control valves, usually, I use Cout to control proportional valves but I run out of current output pins " I have 13 valves" I'm wondering if I can use PWM OUT HS to control D1FBE01HC0NJJ3 " Proportional directional valves in general " also L90LS, P70? Because it seems for me that PWM is only to control pulsar valves that have some frequency working value.

External Mounted Modules

BLC 4 years ago in Expansion modules updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 1

I'm being asked to mount modules external to the main enclosure, XC41's to be exact. So there will be an enclosure to mount the MD4 to but everything else will be mounting on the rock crushing machine. The power and ground for the modules will come from within the main panel and be fuse protected. The issue I'm having is trying to solve the ground and power that is supplied to the DIN's and DOUT's. Is there a way to cleanly create a ground line and power line to run along the machine and tie into for each necessary I/O? I was thinking of a isolated buss bar, or perhaps a two to one butt splice. Any ideas will help.

Expansion Module CANBus

Greg R 4 years ago in Expansion modules / XC4x 0

Our usual setup is an MD4 with an XC4X expansion module. But we end up using an MC4X because we need the CANBus available on the master module. It would be nice if the expansion module provided access to additional CANBus the same way it provides access to its IO.

What are the symptoms of a XS2/XA2 failure?

Forrest 5 years ago in Expansion modules updated by Lars Bolduc 5 years ago 1

What sort of symptoms might I expect with an expansion module failure?

Will D-outs become intermittent?

would anything else become sporadic?

Are the modules smart enough to realize something is wrong?
