Run fault PID 90131 bluescreen crash

nick_namsep 5 months ago in Master modules / MD4 updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 4 months ago 3

Hello,

I am currently working on a machine that uses an IQAN system with an MD4. For some context: it’s a mobile hydraulic machine driven by a diesel engine. I’m running into an issue that I haven’t been able to pinpoint to a specific cause, and I’m wondering if anyone recognizes this error code or has ideas on what I could try next.

The error code I get is:

Run fault PID 90131 TID 14 Signal 11 Code 0

The situation is as follows. When I start the machine, everything initializes fine. The whole IQAN system comes up normally, the UI works, and I can operate the control system without any issues. When I give the signal to start the engine, it works in two steps:

First, the engine ECU is powered up. Then the ECU sends an OK signal back, after which I need to trigger the start again to actually crank the engine.

The ECU and the IQAN system communicate over CAN. However, as soon as I give the first start signal and the ECU powers up, the MD4 immediately goes into a blue screen and completely locks up. Nothing responds anymore, and I can’t recover from the error without completely disconnecting the system and doing a full reset.

As far as I can see, there’s nothing useful written in the logs that I can trace back to the blue screen—only the information shown on the display itself.

I’ve been trying to diagnose this for a while now, but I’m not sure what could be causing the fault in the first place. The only thing I could find online was a post mentioning CAN bus overload, but I don’t really see how that would apply here.

At this point I’m mainly looking for ideas on what could cause this error, or where I should start with further diagnosis. Any ideas are welcome.

MD4 and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) exposure

Jamy 1 year ago in Master modules / MD4 0

We have experienced issues with two MD4-10 units where the touchscreens have become unresponsive. These master modules were being used on two different underground mining machines, operating in the same area of the mine with high levels of H₂S. Could there be a correlation between H₂S exposure and the touchscreens becoming unresponsive?

Looking for MD4

TinusXXL 2 years ago in Master modules / MD4 updated 2 years ago 2

Hi, I'm looking to purchase a second-hand MD4 (and XC42) to replace our current control system. Has anyone got these in stock that could be shipped fairly quickly?

Thanks in advance!

What material is used for the molded rear panel of the MD4-10?  I was asked by a customer and couldn't find anything about it in the catalog.

24V MD4 with 12V relay on LS DOUT

Can a 12V relay be driven by the LS DOUT of an MD4 supplied with 24V without protection or diagnostic issues?

Actuating 24Vdc coil with MD4

Deanne 2 years ago in Master modules / MD4 updated 2 years ago 13

Trying to actuate a 24Vdc coil for a skinner valve with the MD4. I know the MD4 only has LS digital outputs so I am wondering if we would need to use incorporate a voltage divider? I plan on using a relay for that coil as well.

Green line appeared on MD4

Kevin 2 years ago in Master modules / MD4 0

We have installed a brand new display in a battery powered rig this week. Its serial number starting with 2305 and production date of 230202.

It has been OK for a week but after the battery in the rig went flat, this line appeared:

Only thing I can think of was the battery was depleted and resulted in the display flashing when the battery got to a level where it was unable to power the module. It performed OK after the battery was recharged but after a few hours the line appeared.

Anyone had this problem or similar before?

Wrong ID Tag on MD4 Start up

Graham 2 years ago in Master modules / MD4 updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 2 years ago 2

When powering on the MD4 the system message "IQAN-Master Wrong Id Tag!" appears on the screen.  This does not happen every time the machine is powered on but is getting more frequent.  Restarting or shutting off the power to the MD4 does not resolve the problem consistently.  The screen remains black when this issue happens.  Any help is greatly appreciated.
