Problem with my system 1 MD4 and 2 MC3
I have three problem in my system.
Can you help me ?
See above my configuration.
The first one:
In my system, when I supply the modules (1 MD4, 2 MC3), I don’t have any problem. When I power on the engine of the vehicule, sometimes the screen on MD4 is black and is blocked. No action is possible !!!!
The second:
When I power on my engine, sometimes I have an open load message in the MD4 on my Current out or Digital out on MC3. The wiring of the vehicule is good !!!!!
Do you have an idea on the two problems?
The third problem:
In my system I have a LED lights two colors (white and red) but I have three cable.
These leds work with low current ( less 200 milliamps ). We think that it will be possible with the “lowside” .
The first is the +VCC on the red light the second +VCC on the white light and the last is the ground for the two colors. One single LED works . When the red is on ( stop / brake ) the white is off . When he white is ON , the red is OFF.
How so you connects on the MC3 Digital Out?
G2 modem use differen countries
We have g2 modem order from abroad. we have setting the g2 modem and G2 modem worked smoothly.Modem did not work after a few months. we learned that the reason: you must register modem imei number the BTK in Turkey. its want to government. it was now registration and works fine.
Now , we would like to use g2 modem in Denmark. Has Denmark anyone ever been used g2 modem?
Is the problem becomes Denmark?

Freeze of the touch screen on MD4
We are using an MD3 and MD4 as screen on our system.
They print the same info from one CAN BUS
They are on the same system than a generator quite noisy, and when the generator start we loose the touch on the MD4, only the touch.
- The screen still work good
- the Md3 act normal
Did any body experiment the same kind of issue?
I don't have a scope on site I am investigating right now on the issue. I will try to
Power supply the MD4 from an other power source
Isolate the power suply if it doesn't work
I will try to add a capasitor if I have time.
Frequency input
Is it possible to use Frequency input to get the engine speed by using the W contact of the alternator?
G3 Modem
Is there any information available on this module yet? We are finding the G2 modem is quite sluggish when downloading software updates over GPRS especially with MD4 displays.
Best wire for CAN connections
We are looking at looming a machine where the data cores could be quite close to wiring used to power solenoid coils and some advise what type of cable to use would be good? Understandably we cannot change it easily so we need to make sure we get it right first time.

Voltage present when outputs are off
I have measured the voltage and current being drawn with the output off and its 1.3mA @ 5.8v. Is there any reason why we couldn't simply connect asuitable resistor in parallel with the siren to stop this sound being generated?
M4 Safe Mode
I have a customer who attempted to move the location of an MD4 and in rewiring has got the wiring wrong! The screen will not now complete its boot up cycle and the diagnostics bus is not available to try to interrogate the machine.
There seems to be a tiny recessed red button alongside one of the screws on the rear of the screen - is this a safe mode button?
Closed Loop Control with Voltage Outputs
I have a system that includes a dc motor, a dc motor controller, an MD3 master and XA2 expansion modules.
My overall objective is to control the output speed of the motor, through the motor controller, via closed loop PID control with the MD3 and one of the XA2 modules. The motor controller can accept a 0-10Vdc signal to regulate the speed of the motor.
Assuming I can monitor the rotation speed of the motor's output shaft via a frequency input or voltage input into the XA2 module but am uncertain of how I can output the 0-10Vdc output signal to the motor controller from the XA2 module, any ideas?
