IQAN-XC10 with support for DOUT diagnostics

Gustav Widén (System support) 8 years ago in Expansion modules / XC10 updated 8 years ago 0

The updated version of the IQAN-XC10 with support for DOUT diagnostics has been released.

DOUT-A to DOUT-P

These high-side DOUT:s can be configured to detect open load when the outputs are off. The detection is based on a shared "strobe" function, giving out a limited current at regular intervals. The detection is suited for loads such as solenoids, but should be kept disabled if any of the high-side DOUT:s are driving smaller load, e.g. LED lamps that will blink when this feature is used.

DOUT-Q to DOUT-T

These low-side DOUT:s can be configured to detect open load when the outputs are on. This diagnostic feature is based on undercurrent detection. The detection is suited for solenoid valves, but should be kept disabled if the DOUT is driving smaller loads, e.g. most relay coils.

PWMOUT

The PWMOUT has open load detection based on measuring undercurrent also in previous versions. Now the option to disable undercurrent detection is available.

For more details on the DOUT/PWMOUT diagnostic features, see IQAN-XC10 instruction book, Appendix A.

Standby mode for MD4

Adem Dilbaz 8 years ago in Master modules / MD4 updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 8 years ago 1

Hi everyone,

We want to adding a new feature on MD4 controller. When the system locked function is true, standby mode should be active because of energy-saving.

Best regards.

PWMOUT used with Parker VPL/Pulsar valve

Mark 8 years ago updated by Ken Larsen 5 years ago 7

Has anyone had any luck using the bi-directional PWMOUT with the Parker VPL/Pulsar valve proportional coils? I tried using one Bi output for two coils on a 4W/3P proportional valve(each valve section has 2 separate coils, 1 for shifting the valve in each direction) and did not have much luck and had to eventually use one output per coil (used on the positive return side). Was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem or am I missing something? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,
We need going to do small screen. MD4,MD3 not suitable for that aplication. Because it will only display. So MD4, MD3 screen operating is smilar that: You have got a shovel sand. But you are using a dozer for this work. For example to view the mobile crane balance. You can see 10 second
Youtube video

There vansco series. But we can not use in the iqan design platform. We can not programing multi master it. Canopen keypad and canopen indicator is the future thought?

MTTFd values for MC3 MD3 and XA2?

Kevin 9 years ago updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 3 years ago 1
We are using various modules for some safety related controls (MC3) and others for non safety related controls (MD3 and XA2). During analysis of the failure modes of the complete control system I need to establish the MTTFd values of the outputs of the modules (safety related or not).

Do you have any values for these modules please?

AXIS F1005-E camera with MD4

Paul Summers 9 years ago in Other updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 9 years ago 1
We have had great looking results utilizing an AXIS F1005-E camera and AXIS F41 main unit with an MD4 as a rugged backup camera for a mining prototype.  The only down side it the components cost almost as much as the MD4!

The IP camera display functionality is a fantastic option!

Piggyback on J1939 Backbone

Kelly Shuman 8 years ago in Other updated by Ulrik Zakariasson (Software development) 8 years ago 4
I would like to know if there would be any issue using the J1939 backbone to support an IQAN master/slave network. Eventually, we would be reading the J1939 information also. I will verify that the bus load isn't too great. Is it good to add the other devices on the network to the program to avoid collisions?
