MD3 Error Message

mdonaldson 4 years ago in Master modules / MD3 updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 4 years ago 1

We have a customer with a MD3 that sometimes works fine and other times just displays this error message. Its running a IQAN Version 2 program.

+AT+IPR?$dAT+IPR?$D

We will replace the display, just curious what is going on.

Thanks

MC2 date/time

Zach Dockter 4 years ago in Master modules / MC2 updated by Gustav Widén (System support) 4 years ago 1

I have an MC2 that will not accept a new date/time.  It's stuck on 01/01/2001 - 00:00:00.

I connected to it, and used IQANrun to set date/time, it says it was successful, but the date/time didn't change.  I rebooted the system, did not help.

J1939 TDA is disabled for this machine, RTC is enabled.

Wondering if anyone has seen this before....

MC43 low side pulled up

Petit 4 years ago in Master modules / MC4x updated 4 years ago 6

Hi all,

I'm currently testing an MC43 on our HIL bench and notice some issue with the low side driver at startup.

On our system, all the low side driver of the MC43 at pulled up to supply voltage with a 10K pull up resistor.

The problem is that when we switch on the ECU, it's going into error with the code 4:2.

We find out that by waiting 1.5 sec at startup before pulling up the low side driver fix the problem.

The problem is that on the vehicle we will probably end up in this situation as some low side driver are going to be pulled up throw some relay coil.

Is the unit is going into error if any low side driver is pulled up or only some of them trigger it ?

Thanks for your support,

Grégoire

VREF error on XC43 Enable

jolynik 4 years ago in Expansion modules / XC4x updated 4 years ago 10

Working on a project in which 2 XC43 modules are not supplied with power until the MD4 commands a safety relay contactor closed.

I've worked through almost all the bugs, but I'm getting a VREF A error as soon as the XC43 modules enable. I've tried leaving up to a 30 second delay after powering the XC43 modules to enable them, but the error still pops up for one cycle and then shows up on screen (Watching in a measure group, VREF starts at 0V for one or so cycles, then goes right to 5V). All the sensors read fine, just have the error at system start.

Is there any way to delay how long it takes for the VREF error to show

Industrial Style IQAN Module for Electrical Cabinet

Barnhart Crane 4 years ago updated 4 years ago 1

We've used IQAN modules extensively in our equipment and we've always mounted the modules in an electrical cabinet. We prefer the entire IQAN system to other PLCs that would normally be used in a cabinet, but we could really benefit from an IQAN module that was more industrial style, i.e. that it would have screw terminals that were easy to rearrange, add, remove, etc.

Has anything like this been considered before? Anyone else with this need?

Reading thermistors on MC43

Cole Koster 4 years ago in Master modules / MC4x updated by anonymous 3 years ago 3

I am trying to read a NTC thermistor with a resistive output ranging from 810 - 76.9 ohms on the MC43.

In the past we have used a voltage divider circuit to read the sensor value on a VIN channel, but if the MC43 could introduce a bias current to the thermistor then the output voltage could read without the need for a second resistor in the mix.

I did not seeing any mention of this in the MC43 manual but was wondering if anyone has faced this challenge before.

Thank you.
